Greens, ginger, turmeric & more! Get in gear for spring with bike rides and walks to some of Uptown's best juice spots.
This spring, we're teaming up with El Barrio Bikes and East Harlem Walks to offer a series of Wheatgrass Rides where you can sample some of the best smoothies and wellness shots across the neighborhood.
From ginger shots to fresh wheatgrass, from turmeric tonics to just-squeezed watermelon ... we'll visit some of Uptown's best juice spots to hear from local business owners about the wellness offerings on their menus.
Each tour is on one of the three Saturdays leading up to the Harlem Wellness Fest -- so we can get your juices flowing! You can select your modality: Saturday, May 9 (Short Ride), Saturday, May 16 (Walk), or Saturday, May 23 (Long Ride). Each tour is from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
No bike? No worry. We can provide both helmets and bikes thanks to support from Citi Bike, the NYC Department of Transportation and NYC Department of Health. Register here, and we'll send you all the ride details closer to the date, including a form where you can register to borrow a bike and a helmet.
Businesses to visit include:
MAY 9 (SHORT RIDE)
Unk's Place
New Level Juice Bar
Healthy Frenchy
MAY 16 (WALK)
Watkins Health Food
Black Seed Brothers
Sugar Hill Juice Co.
MAY 23 (LONG RIDE)
