Every month, our session focuses on the current activities within the bee colony, offering insights into what our buzzing friends are up to and how their behaviors and needs change with the seasons. We'll also cast a look forward, previewing what to expect in the upcoming month, providing you with timely advice on hive management, feeding, disease prevention, and other crucial aspects of beekeeping.

Astor Apiaries is an urban bee farm based in Astoria, Queens. It was founded by Nick & Ashley Hoefly as their beekeeping hobby grew into a full-fledged business. In a few short years they have gone from 2 hives to managing more than 60 hives across NYC and still expanding. They are passionate about bees and love to speak on the topic to anyone who will listen.
