What's Going On: A Tribute to Peace, Unity & Elijah McClain

This experience was inspired from the untimely death of Elijah McClain, whose death resulted from a series of events during a police encounter. This production employs an array of mediums, including spoken word, music, dance, acting, and film, to convey both the historical and current realities of policing in the black community. At Two Scoops, we believe that art can be a catalyst for change, and our aspiration is that this production serves as a starting point for such a transformation. The performance portion of the event will be followed up by conversation with policing reform advocates as well as police representation. Let us come together to let art start us on the journey to peace and unity.
