Lincoln Families is bringing this training to Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras providers. As we learn more about human trafficking, it’s important that we talk about groups that are disproportionately impacted by it. Immigrant minors have many vulnerabilities that place them at significant risk for trafficking so it’s imperative to learn about this topic. In this training, you'll learn about risk factors for immigrant minors, barriers to seeking services, and supporting immigrant minors.
The learning objectives for this training include:
- Identify at least 1 risk factor for immigrant minors to be trafficked
- Identify at least 1 need of immigrant minors who have been trafficked
- Identify at least 1 impact of trafficking for immigrant minors
Please note that in order to register for these free trainings you must be staff, caregiver or volunteer working directly with foster, adoptive or probation involved children, youth and their families in Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras only. Participants outside of these areas aren't eligible and will not receive the zoom link
The training will be facilitated by Dr. Phatiphong of Klasey Consulting LLC. To learn more about Klasey Consulting, visit www.klaseyconsulting.com. You can also follow Klasey Consulting on Instagram @klaseyconsulting to stay informed about upcoming trainings and learn about resources
