What Does it All Mean, What Does Any of This Mean? Why? How? Help! A Comedy Show #3

In the PRS Lecture Room!

Welcome back to PRS’s third installment of a comedy talk show here to cure your existential dread, following our very successful first and second editions this past December and February! The stand up comedian is known to be the deepest observer. More introspective than Descartes, more earth-shattering than Socrates, more insightful than Nietzsche. The comedian was the first to ask, "What is the deal?" Well, now we get to the bottom of just that. Join host Alison Stevenson as she forces her comedian friends to solve life's biggest unsolvable problems. You will laugh, you will cry, you will think. But most importantly, you will laugh.

Biniam Bizuneh is a writer for the hit FXX series DAVE. He’s also written for JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!, Netflix/A24’s THE G WORD, and ScyFy’s RESIDENT ALIEN. As a comedian, he’s appeared on Comedy Central’s STAND-UP FEATURING and Viceland’s FLOPHOUSE. After getting attention for his YouTube series LIEGUYS, he wrote and starred in several originals for Comedy Central including his own digital series, HOW TO BE BROKE. He’s appeared as a panelist on E!’s DATING NO FILTER and was selected as a fellow of both the 2019 SUNDANCE EPISODIC LAB and the 2024 RIDEBACK RISE FELLOWSHIP. Most recently, Biniam, co-created and starred in a pilot for Hulu called BAMMAS executive produced by Ramy Youssef and Danny Chun.

Camirin Farmer is a performer from Los Angeles who got their roots in the Baltimore comedy scene. Through their stand-up comedy, writing, and acting Camirin relays their lived experience as a black, queer, non-binary person in modern-day America in an equally direct and silly way.

Salma Hindy is a first-generation Egyptian-Canadian Comedian, Writer, Actor and Performer who has recently moved to New York City. Salma has opened for Ken Jeong, Ramy Youssef, Beth Stelling, and most recently is opening for Chelsea Handler on her newest tour, Little Big Bitch. Salma is currently voicing a Series Regular character on Golden Globe Winner Ramy Youssef's new A24/Amazon adult animated series, #1 Happy Family. Salma will be performing a two-person show called "Parallel" at Edinburgh Fringe this year, detailing how she escaped her self-righteous extremist upbringing and came to find her Jewish best friend, Danielle. Salma has written for CBC's This Hour Has 22 Minutes. She is currently developing her own half-hour scripted comedy series with Crave (Bell media) about her life.

Anna Seregina is a Los Angeles-based comedian, actor, and writer originally from Russia. She was chosen as one JFL's 2023 New Faces, Time Out LA’s 2020 Comics to Watch and Vulture’s 2019 Comics to Watch. As a standup, Anna has performed at comedy festivals and notable venues across the country, including SXSW, SF Sketchfest, and -perhaps most importantly- the Viper Room. She is the co-creator and co-host of the two-season semi-scripted comedy podcast TRUTH HOUNDS for iHeartMedia alongside frequent collaborator Kyle Mizono. She was described by the Austin Chronicle as “incredible, Buster Keaton-esque” and Time Out LA has called her style “as much a symphony of sound and motion as it is quote-unquote material.”

David Brown

David Brown is an actor, comedian & filmmaker in Los Angeles. He was in the show Jury Duty on Amazon Freevee and the films The Year Between and I Used To Go Here. He performs in the group The Shrimp Boys & the show Don't Break! He's on Instagram & Twitter.

Host, Alison Stevenson is a comedian and writer based in Los Angeles. Her debut TV appearance occurred on the Viceland stand-up series, “Flop House”. Alison was also a “perfect woman” on the Adult Swim Streaming comedy series, “The Perfect Women”, which now exists on Youtube. On top of stand-up she is a writer, most known as a VICE columnist wherein she wrote many viral articles for several years. She’s also written for Huffington Post, Glamour, The Guardian, MAD Magazine, and more. She currently has a substack you can subscribe to. In October 2020 Audible released her original scripted podcast, “Like Mother”. Written by Alison, it is a semi-autobiographical, mother-daughter comedy starring her and Susie Essman of "Curb Your Enthusiasm". Last but not least, Alison has self-released two stand up albums: “Eat Me” in April 2017 and “Mommy Issues” in September 2019. In August 2023 she self-released her first-ever comedy special, "VUBITV+ Presents: H*rny B*tch" -- a twisted blend of stand up comedy combined with BDSM and released by a made up streaming platform allegedly owned by ExxonMobil called "VubiTV+". It can be viewed on Youtube, now.
