West Michigan Tech Talent is hitting the trails! Join us for a series of trail hikes and networking among sunshine, fresh air and interesting people. From June to October, we've scheduled easy lunch time hikes and longer hikes for later in the day.

We'll also share some unique content before and after each hike. Grab your water bottle and granola bar and get ready to network, meet new people and learn something new - all while enjoying West Michigan parks and trail systems.

Here's our line up:

  • June 18, Huff Park, 12 -1 p.m. This will be an easy, 25-minute walk, about 1.3 miles. We'll meet and end at the Pavilion.


  • July 16, Cannonsburg, 4 - 5 p.m. This will be a moderately difficult hike, approximately 60-minutes. After the hike, we'll join the fun at Cannonsburg's Taco Tuesday.


  • August 13, Peace Park, 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. This will be moderately difficult hike. Approximately 3 miles and 60 minutes.


  • September 17, Millennium Park, (Green Trail) 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. This is an easy walk. Sould take us about 40 minutes. * Tech Week GR Event*


  • October 15, Seidman Park, 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. This a moderate hike, about 60 minutes. It will include a navigation and orienteering experience.


Frequently asked questions

Is there a cost to attend?

It is a free event. West Michigan Tech Talent is supported by it's Council and Sponsors.

Where there be food or drinks available?

We encourage everyone to bring something to drink and a snack. In some cases, like the Cannonsburg hike, there will be food and beverages available for purchase after the hike.

Can I bring a friend or my kids?

Sure. Just make sure they are ready to for a nice long walk.

Besides the hike, will there be anything else?

Great question. Yes, we plan a short talk either before or after each hike. However, these events are mostly about building community and creating an alternative networking event. We're not going to sell you anything!

We'll send updates prior to each event with extra details. The key is plan to have fun.
