Saint Lou’s Assembly is a Midwestern take on a classic "Meat N Three”— a concept that's traditionally found in the South (i.e. a meat course plus three side dishes).The venue has a back yard patio featuring bleacher seating for 100, a Bocce ball court, and plenty of al fresco drinking options.

A little cold weather never stopped Chicago from a night on the town! Lace up your best walking shoes and winter boots for the West Loop Winter Safari: A Progressive Dining Experience. Warm-up with fellow foodies as you walk the West Loop during a progressive dinner along Restaurant Row and beyond. Diners will create their own culinary adventure, eating their way through each of the participating restaurants, including: Saint Lou’s Assembly, Nellcôte, Green Street Local, Bar Takito and The Betty.
The adventure begins by picking up a dining “passport” from any of the five stops, which guests will present at each restaurant in order to receive the signature dish offered for the evening. Proceeds from the progressive dinner will benefit <A HREF="http://www.open-books.org" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Open Books</A>, a local nonprofit that provides literacy experiences for tens of thousands of readers each year through inspiring programs and the creative capitalization of books. Each restaurant will also present suggested beverage pairings, available at an additional cost.
$10 from every ticket sold will directly benefit Open Books.
Check out some of the restaurant's signature dishes being served on the Winter Safari:
Bar Takito: Coffee Braised Beef Barbacoa Taco, served with a handmade popcorn tortilla, coffee braised beef, queso fresco, pickled jicama and roasted peanuts. 
Saint Lou's: Spam and Scallop Stew: Scallop, Spam, Kimchi and black bean relish, Cheddar Foam, Enoki mushroom
The Betty: house cured salmon, potato pancake, caper & dill cream, alfalfa sprouts
UPDATE! Saint Lou's will be hosting an offical after-party on their heated back porch featuring complimentary Smuttynose brews and $8 Mai Tais for those who wish to keep the walk alive after hitting all the hot spots.
