Are you looking for a way to start your week by connecting with others, staying active, enjoying the outdoors with your little ones and feeling energised? Then, our buggy walks are for you. Join The Active Way and The Children's Centre for free, open, and friendly buggy walks for parents and caregivers of babies and young children who can walk or are in prams, buggies, and carriers.

Walking is an excellent way to improve well-being and promote good mental health. Our buggy walks are for everyone, regardless of fitness level. They aim to help parents and caregivers of new babies and young children become more active, feel fitter and energised, and enjoy the fresh air in a supportive and social environment.

Frequently asked questions

Does the walk start at 9:30 or 09:45?

We start our walks promptly at 09:45 am and ask people to arrive from 9:30 am so that we can meet and greet and share important information and let everyone know the route for our morning walk.

Do me and my little one(s) have to do the full walk

We know that things can change. If you need to leave please let one of the walk leaders know that you are leaving. You will be responsible for making your own way back.

Do I need to be responsible for my one(s)?

We ask that all parents and caregivers take full responsibility for their children whilst on our walk and whilst we stop for a snack and play.

How many little one(s) can I bring?

If you have more than one child, we ask that you feel able to look after your children whilst out on the walk. You can bring a partner, friend or family member on the walk with you for extra support.

Do I have to attend all four walks?

We would love for you to attend all of the walks, but we realise this isn't always possible. With this we ask you to reserve your spot for the day or days that you can attend.
