The Target Atrium at Orchestra Hall comes alive on June 3 as Finns, Finnish-Americans, and friends showcase the Finland Strong Twin Cities community to the Ambassador and Finnish trade delegation, as well as to appreciate and bid farewell to Maestro Osmo Vänskä, after 19 years with the Minnesota Orchestra.
Enjoy an appetizer, with a cash bar available. A short program of introductions and greetings begins at 7 pm, with a surprise musical ending! There is no cost for this gathering, but you must register. The deadline to register is Friday, May 27.
Enjoy the concert, featuring Finnish pianist Juho Pohjanen, and the world premiere of the late composer Jaakko Kuusisto's final work, a symphony.
