Weisberg Family Foundation Big Heart Brigade

Each year the Big Heart Brigade supports the community by providing over 75,000 holiday meals and much needed support to families living in Palm Beach County and the surrounding areas. The Weisberg Family Foundation has partnered with Big Heart Brigade to offer special volunteer opportunities for families, groups and individuals who have a desire to serve their local community.

As part of our mission to combine time, talent and resources we ask that all volunteers participating in this event join us in making a donation of not only their time and talent, but also their resources. Without financial contributions, there would be no Thanksgiving meals to prepare and package.

Your financial donation will be matched in our matching grant program (up to $35,000). Please consider collecting donations or donating above the minimum requirement to maximize the impact you can have on this event.

$2 provides for a meal. When your grant is matched it provides 2 meals

$28 provides a turkey. When your grant is matched it provides 2 turkeys

3 Shifts are available (space is limited):

9:30-11:30AM

3:00-5:30PM (includes behind the scenes tour promptly at 2:30PM)

4:00-6:30PM (includes behind the scenes tour and dinner following your volunteer shift)

We are happy to provide a letter for students who wish to document their community service hours. Students must work the entire scheduled shift and have a good attitude in order to receive this letter at the end of their shift.

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Volunteers must be at least 5 years old, able to stand for their entire shift and be able to reach the table. Volunteers 5-17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Volunteer parking is designated along both sides of Howell Lane. Please DO NOT PARK In the front of the Fire Station or in the front driveway at the east side of the Station. Parking in areas other than Howell Lane could subject your vehicle being towed. Big Heart Brigade IS NOT RESPONSIBLE for your vehicle or its contents while you volunteer. Please be sure to secure all valuables and lock your vehicle.

How can I make a donation?

Donations are accepted online at time of registration using a Credit Card or in person by CASH or CHECK (payable to Big Heart Brigade) only. We have special aprons for those volunteers who have met a minimum donation requirement during their registration as our way of saying 'thank-you'. ALL donations collected online or given in person will be matched by the Weisberg Family Foundation (up to $35,000).

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

For faster check-in please bring your printed ticket to the event. If you do not have your ticket that is okay, but it may delay your check-in.

What is the refund policy?

We are depending on your donation and your volunteer commitement. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds on donations or tickets.
