During the 1800's, German immigrants wanted to preserve their culture in their new country. Many of them formed societies based on common interest, one of which was singing.For 145 years, the Indianapolis Liederkranz has continued to preserve this part of German culture in the Holy Cross area of Indianapolis.The purpose of the Indianapolis Liederkranz is the cultivation and perpetuation of German culture, primarily through song and music, as well as the cultivation and promotion of other cultural activities for its members and the community at large.

The Indianapolis Liederkranz is proud to present the 2017 Weihnachtskonzert! (for the English-speaking folks, that's Christmas concert)
Over the last few years we have added so much to this much beloved concert. The concert features performances by the Bell Choir, the Brass Band, small ensembles, storytellers and, of course, the men's choir and Damenchor. This is not only a crowd favorite concert but a club favorite as well. The choirs only perform together at this concert and we really love it.
Because it is such a popular concert we will have 2 performances and we strongly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance!
Light snacks, coffee and hot chocolate will be provided prior to each performance. Drinks will also be available for purchase at the bar.
