To kick off the 2024 #wehiketoheal Challenge, we will be hiking one of our favorite trails in Atlanta, Arabia Mountain! We will start out at the main parking lot at the Arabia Mountain Nature Center trailhead near the visitor center to allow for additional parking.
We will make our trek through the forest to a serene lake where we'll plan to spend some time reflecting and journaling.
We welcome all fitness levels to join us; the goal is to enjoy the journey, we are never in a race!
Time: 11am (please be punctual!)
Location/Directions: 3787 Klondike Road, Stonecrest, GA 30038

Parking: Free / but does tend to fill up on the weekend, come early and carpool
Difficulty level/Distance: this hike is rated "easy" but is relative - approximently 2 miles
Restroom Facilities: vault toilt at the trailhead
What you will need for this hike:
- Plenty of water to drink! (we recommend at least 1-3 liters)
- Sunblock and/or hat to protect you from the sun
- Comfortable hiking shoes/boots or trail sneakers
- Comfortable moisture wicking clothing - workout clothes work just fine!
- A daypack/backpack to carry all your items
- A towel to sit on if you're uncomfortable sitting on the ground
- Your journal and a pen
