About this event

Join us Thursday night at 6:30PM via Zoom for CNGF's weekly plant hike talk!

Taught by Alrie Middlebrook, you'll receive a lesson on native plant identification from a plant community-based approach. You will learn how to identify native plants, as well as the associated California plant communities they call home.

Our ultimate goal, for those who are interested, is to teach you how to design native gardens with a site's naturally occurring plant community in mind.

We value everyone's participation and feedback, regardless of your ultimate goal—whether you'd like to change the world through better land use, or just have fun and enjoy pictures from Alrie's hikes around the Bay Area—all are welcome!

In order to eliminate Zoom bombers, please register with Zoom link as well. You will receive access to the Zoom registration after you register here. Hope that make sense!!

Thank you!

Note that this is an online event. Please register on Zoom at this link. You will receive your own unique link from Zoom, as well as reminders about the event.

CNGF is a nonprofit that wants to help educate the public, especially school children, about native gardens.

We are more than a community garden. We are an eco-neighborhood. Come out & support our teaching gardens and urban farm. Help us grow these gardens and others by joining our eco-neighborhood. We are a movement led by grandmothers and mothers. We are a spark plug for change in San Jose downtown development.
