Training the Mind Through Tea and Calligraphy

The Chinese calligrahpy has long history of training the mind to be calm and focused.  Learn how to work the breath with each strokes.  

During the last months of 2020, the world is still in turmoil and has not yet subsided. Practicing brushwork with the breath is to purify the energy within, steady the mind, and vibrate genuine joy to your surrounding. This is not a language class. The knowlege of the Chinese language is not requried. Everyone can participate and benefit from practicing calligraphy. I am an artist, who exhibit internatonally with the intallation of Teahouse Project. Ceativity is my nature, yet there is always a need to nurture it. I use calligraphy as a dalily practice to gain better focus before working on large canvases. Whatever your professional is, this process can help you to perform better. It provides you a way to be friends with the mind, and furthur to identify your inner core streghth. I have witnessed many times how the mind and body can be trained through calligraphy.In the past, I have led more than few groups in all backgrounds, and we are giving each other light and security by practicing together for this peculiar time. I like to share the experiences so you can benefit from it and bring that peace and joy to others.Materials: The rice paper ( xuan paper) and ink on amazon or your local art supply. A good quality brush is the most essential tool, which is available at www.mojoosh.com.Donation:The group session normally is 25 dollars per person.
