Can minors or children attend?

This event is family friendly to YOU, if you're friendly with bringing your family... meaning, THIS IS A PARTY ... there will be drinking, smoking, and activities that are permitted for 21 and over only. Parents / guardians MUST accompany their kids. $1 tix is required, so we know the count

Are there Family Friendly activities?

Yes. We will have a kiddie pool, crafts, face painting, bubbles, and lots of space to run around and yell like a kid. The vendors will have great food for everyone, tho you can bring your child's food and drink by cooler, too. Again, all children must be accompanied by their guardian / parent

Is alcohol permitted ?

We do not offer or sell alcohol to the general public. You can, if 21 and over, bring your own alcohol in a cooler. Practice prudence, and excessive drunkenness or bad behavior towards others will not be permitted. Common sense and kindness must play a role.

What can get me kicked out of the festival?

No fighting, at all. No Hate or hateful speech, out of kindness to others.. not because we want to control speech. No weapons. No dope .. zero tolerance for heroin or non prescribed pills, because we care about YOU and attendees. No touching or disrespect of veteran memorials. Respect security

Is the festival legal?

Weekend at Bertha's is fully permitted and insured. We work hard to make the event comply, and assure safety. The venue, Firebase Lloyd, is a veteran ran social club. Many veterans live on the base, and call it home. We will have our certificates on hand at all times

Who are the Diamond State Merry Pranksters?

Accepted Answer

The DSMP is a neo-prankster group, founded 2018, with the mandate from the original Merry Pranksters of the west coast. The DSMP hosts events in Delaware, and often combine creative forces with other promoters in other states. We believe we can create change thru music, art, and theater.

Can I bring pets?

Accepted Answer

Our official answer is "no" ... because the veterans that live on the base have working dogs, and that could create a conflict. If you have a special situation, email us. If you arrive with a pet, without emailing us first, you'll be turned away. Email us weekendatberthas@gmail.com

What are some things I should bring?

Accepted Answer

Bring a positive attitude. Bring a case or gallon of water. Bring snacks. Bring a trash bag. Bring a lawn chair. Bring a blanket to sit on. Bring extra clothes, prepare for possible rain (it is the hottest time of the year, however). Bring money (there will be an ATM). Bring toys, like hula hoops

Who's welcome?

Just about everyone is welcome. Our counterculture event is welcome to Vets, Biker MCs, Rainbow Fam, Travelers, Flow artists, Radicals, queer folks, all races, tribes, and of course Deadheads. We won't tolerate anyone disrespecting anyone. You can wear your colors, whatever that means to you.

Who's not welcome?

If your thing is projecting hate, racism, disrespecting women .. Don't come. We only want good vibes, and we always want everyone ... including YOU ... to be comfortable and have fun. LEO's aren't welcome, if they are working. We reserve the right to eject anyone from the private property.

Is there security?

Accepted Answer

Yes ... our security is there to keep the peace, and not harass attendees.  If anyone ever has a problem, find someone with a laminate credential ( ID thingy), and they will radio for the proper person for the problem. Your safety is important to us.

Is there a medic present?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and the base has a direct line to EMT / ambulance. We will have a certified medic present. That said, be prepared with your medication, asthma inhaler, insulin, heart pills ... with the assumption that we might not have your specific need covered. We will do our best

Any important advice?

There's a couple pro tips. Stay hydrated ... dehydration, combined with partying and heat, is the cause of most festival problems. Eat food, don't party on an empty stomach. Stay in the shade of the pavilion, or bring an umbrella or push up tent by day. You can't obstruct the stage, however.

Can I sponsor or donate to Weekend at Bertha's?

We love the support we get from the scene. We presently have a sponsor, tho we have room for two on our upcoming print, media, and social media campaigns. We can except donations in the form of you buying tix, that we can give to the less fortunate. We are not a non-profit

Can I sell things at Weekend at Bertha's?

Accepted Answer

We encourage a positive scene, and that includes fair exchanges and barters. If you are selling ANYTHING, it must be approved by the WAB staff by email, or on site. We have two types of vending, Craft and Consumables. Email at Weekendatberthas@gmail.com for more info.
