Comedy shows of all kinds happen regularly at Sip Studios in Journal Square, Jersey City, New Jersey.

Weeding Out The Stoned is The Game Show of Sobriety Tests. A pack of comedians enter. All but one of them are stoned. It's up to all of us to eliminate the high comics to spot the sober individual so everyone can win dope prizes. "Detective" Alex Grubard seeks audience testimony, plays mind games and administers sobriety tests to NJ's premier comics. Help spot the sober Narc by weeding out the stoned!

Weeding Out The Stoned began in Philadelphia for Five Dollar Comedy Week in 2015. Since then Weeding Out The Stoned has been selected to be in the New York Comedy Festival, The Highlarious Comedy Festival and WOOtenany. It has sold out shows in a dozen states at venues including Helium Comedy Club, WFMU's Montgomery Hall and Asylum NYC. It has gotten glowing reviews in Brooklyn Vegan, Philadelphia Inquirer, Emerald Magazine, Time Out New York, Denver Westword, Delaware News Journal, Portland Mercury and Worcester Telegram. Host and creator Alex Grubard has appeared on mtvU and his debut stand-up album "Let Me Teach You How To Distill Gin" was released in 2021.
