WeCodeKC introduces Kansas City area students to technology concepts and various software languages. Our classes often change based on the availability of our highly skilled instructors.

Our instructor-led classes give students a hands-on approach to software development, project-based learning, leadership and team-building skill development in preparation for a career in the field of technology.

These classes are designed to be hands-on workshops, that focus on teaching beginner, intermediate, and advanced student’s technology concepts that are required for a future career in the tech industry. Since our classes are project-based, students are strongly encouraged to attend on a consistent basis to ensure all projects are completed. Additionally, parents/guardians may be required to create their students’ accounts on the free applications that’s used by their individual class which allows parents/guardians full access to their students’ projects in every phase of development.

WeCode KC’s classes will focus on creating projects using the following application or programming language:

Students will learn more advanced concepts in the Python programming language, for use in game design, website creation, AI, graphic design, data analysis, and more.

COVID-19 DISCLAIMER

In response to the coronavirus COVID-19, we understand that improperly prepared educational institutions can put students’ health at risk. We take cleanliness and illness prevention seriously, and as such, WeCode KC will be taking the following precautions following the recommendations of physicians, the CDC, and directives from the City of Kansas City.

  • Our regular daily cleanliness and disinfecting procedures will continue as normal: Shared surfaces will be disinfected, including keyboards, mouse, tabletops, doorknobs, etc.
  • Hand sanitizer will be readily available, and students are encouraged to use it regularly throughout the day.
  • Reminding students about the best ways to prevent the spread of germs, when necessary.
  • Hand-washing will be strongly encouraged, especially after all bathroom breaks.
  • Sneezing and coughing into the crook of their elbow is a requirement.
  • Minimizing touching of face, mouth, and eyes.
  • Additionally, the following is subject to occur:
  • Student has the option to wear a mask during group collaborative time, transition time, and any time they are within 6ft of another student.
  • Masks are optional in outside spaces and while seated, socially distanced from all other students.
