WebTech Speakers
ROOM 1
Tony Byrne, Founder, Real Story Group
Tony is founder of the only exclusively "buy-side" technology analyst firm in the world. The Real Story Group works only for you - the technology customer. Tony has a personal passion for helping large enterprises make sound strategic decisions, based on solid research, that will set them up for long-term success. He believes the best companies of the future will be those that invest the most wisely in employee and customer digital engagement — and it’s his good fortune to have an opportunity to help them get there.
"Selecting Digital Technology - An Agile Approach"
Most technology selection projects follow a “waterfall” approach, featuring an intense process of trying to uncover and document all the possible requirements up front, then racing through quick vendor vetting process. Led by Real Story Group founder Tony Byrne, this session will demonstrate an alternate approach by following a more hands-on, adaptive, test-based process to finding the right technology for your organization.

She has presented multiple sessions at NTEN’s Nonprofit Technology Conference, as well as at NYC Camp, Drupal GovCon, and BADCamp's Nonprofit Summit about the redesign and relaunch experience.
"Drupal 8 - What's the Plan?"
Now that Drupal 8 is out and stable, many non-profits are considering when (or whether) to make the leap. At WETA we're excited about the opportunities that Drupal 8 provides, but aware that there are a number of obstacles -- both technological and institutional -- that must be overcome before we can make the transition. Here's our plan.
