Shared Work Program: How to avoid layoffs and retain your employees

Every employer wants to avoid layoffs. Discover the often-overlooked initiative – NYS Shared Work Program – which helps NYS employers avoid some of the problems caused by a layoff. Employees (full-time, part-time and seasonal) can receive partial unemployment insurance benefits while working reduced hours. By keeping your employees during a temporary slowdown, you can ramp up quickly when business conditions improve.
