JavaScript 101 is the first lesson in our free, four-part Introductory JavaScript Series (101, 201, 301, and 401).
Topics covered:
- What JavaScript is used for and how it plays an important role in today's ever-evolving technology ecosystem
- The origins and developmental progression of JavaScript dating back to 1996
- Fundamental JavaScript building blocks: Values, Types, Operators, Keywords, Labels, Comments and Functions
Who this workshop is for:
This workshop is for learners with little to no JavaScript experience (complete beginners). If you are further along in your learning journey, you may look at other workshops that might be better suited for your skillset and study progress.
Tech requirements:
- This Webinar is held online through video conference.
- Students will need to have their laptops. Windows, Mac or Linux will do it!
- Have the Zoom Client for Video Meetings installed well before the webinar begins.

- 2.5 Hours – 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm Pacific Time

About Your Instructor:
Eric Chiu is a Hack Reactor alumnus who currently works as a Software Engineer at The Home Depot. He graduated with a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree and decided that the rig life was not for him and signed up for Hack Reactor. He enjoys running in the morning rain and snow and loves spending time with his puppy in the evening.
