Can you think of a time in your life when you really felt heard and seen? Have you ever wondered what it takes to really listen to and communicate with another person on a deeper level?

Join us on May 16th at the Fayetteville Public Library for an interactive and engaging training session focused on the key components of active listening, enhancing communication skills, and fostering a collaborative environment. Through a mix of icebreakers, structured activities, and reflective discussions, participants will learn to strengthen their ability to listen actively, respond meaningfully, and build stronger connections in both personal and professional settings.

This training is designed for anyone looking to enhance their communication skills, whether in a workplace, team setting, or personal relationships. Join us for an engaging and interactive session that will help you become a better listener and communicator!

*This training is hosted by Weave: The Social Fabric Project. We’re here to connect and uplift, cultivate relationships, share inspiring stories, and encourage more people to weave community wherever they live.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of this workshop, participants will:

  • Understand the essential elements of active listening.
  • Gain practical experience in applying active listening and looping techniques.
  • Develop a stronger sense of empathy and connection during conversations.
  • Leave with actionable strategies to enhance communication in both personal and professional settings.
  • Build community with other members of the NWA community through icebreakers and communication activites

Why Active Listening Matters:

  1. Improved Communication: By truly hearing what others are saying, you can ensure that your responses are relevant, accurate, and well-informed.
  2. Stronger Relationships: Active listening fosters trust and respect, encouraging deeper connections both personally and professionally.
  3. Conflict Resolution: It helps in resolving misunderstandings and conflicts by clarifying points, minimizing assumptions, and allowing for thoughtful dialogue.
  4. Enhanced Problem-Solving: When people feel truly heard, they are more likely to open up, share their ideas, and collaborate on finding solutions.

The training is free and will be located in the Ziegler Room. Lunch will be provided. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know! Email WeaveNWA@aspeninstitute.org with any questions!
