Nature Calgary and the Weaselhead Glenmore Park Preservation Society invite you to the first ever Weaselhead Butterfly Count!

Weaselhead Natural Area Parking

<p>Guests will be guided by expert Dave Lawrie (President of the Alberta Lepidopterists&#x27; Guild) who is sure to inspire them on becoming Alberta&#x27;s next generation of lepidopterists! Dave will guide participants on all aspects of catching butterflies, identifying them, and why butterfly counts are important to understand pollinator populations. Pairs of participants will catch live butterflies to be identified and photographed during the course of the day with a &quot;butterfly release&quot; to happen at the end of the event!</p>
