About this event

  • 3 hours

Bakehouse Art Complex and We Met in Miami are teaming up for a night of fun and games centered around Scramble, which is like Scrabble but can be played in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole (all at the same time!). Scramble is on view now at Bakehouse, a non-profit artist residency housed in a former Art-Deco era industrial bakery in Wynwood Norte.

We Met at Game Night is BYOG — bring your own game — so be sure to come equipped with all of your faves! 💥

Adults 21+ in attendance will have the option of wearing We Met in Miami’s signature wristbands, which make for a subtle but powerful sign that we are open to new connections. ✨🫂

People looking for love will wear green wristbands. Want to make new friends? Put on a blue one. And members of the LGBTQIA+ community can sport rainbow wristbands. (Yes, you can wear more than one!)

All participants must agree to abide by a simple community code of conduct:

  • We will be kind to each other.
  • We will honor each other’s boundaries.
  • We will celebrate diversity and be respectful of each other’s differences.

While you're at Bakehouse, pick up a free book at resident organization Bookleggers Library 📚

Complimentary snacks and beverages to be served. Space is limited; RSVP strongly encouraged.

Please enter through the pedestrian gate adjacent to the yellow building facing 32nd Street. Free street parking is available on 32nd Street and 6th Avenue. Ride share recommended.

This event is being held in honor of Haitian Heritage Month and also as part of the 10 Days of Connection, a community-led festival inspiring Miami locals to step out of their comfort zones and come together with people from different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
