We Hike to Heal - Seattle | FREE Women's Group Walk/Hike

We'll meet at Cowen Park and hike/walk some of the trails in Ravenna Ravine, in Seattle. The route has a mix of paved and dirt/gravel trails, and will include some stairs. This is an easy-to-moderate hike/walk with views of plants, trees, and wildlife. (https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/cowen-and-ravenna-parks)

We welcome all fitness levels to join us; the goal is to enjoy the journey, we are never in a race! And if you don't think of yourself as "outdoorsy" you're in the right place!

We'll meet at Cowen Park, near the entrance on Brooklyn Ave NE (look for the We Hike to Heal flag!), where we will get to know each other a bit, then begin our walk with a "walking thought" to reflect on. At some point during our hike, we'll pause to sit, meditate and/or journal, and connect with each other.

Time: 3:00-5:00pm (please budget some time for parking so we can gather at 3:00)

Location/Directions: Coewn Park, 5849 15th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98105

Parking: There is street parking near the park, as well as nearby bus and light rail stops.

Difficulty level/Distance: EASY/MODERATE / about 2-3 miles, with some elevation change

Restroom Facilities: There are public restrooms in the park.

What you will need for this hike:

• Some water to drink
• Possbily a rain jacket
• Comfortable hiking/walking/running shoes or sneakers
• Comfortable clothing - workout clothes work just fine!
• A bag/backpack to carry all your items
• A towel or something to sit on if you're uncomfortable sitting on the ground
• A journal (or paper) and a pen
