Workshop Descriptions

Session One: A Better Way to Answer Questions about your Ideas...and better funding and other resources needed to succeed

Gail Ball, WE Hatch program lead and long time banker and VC, will lead participants through the research on questions asked of women founders/intrapreneurs and how they differ in nature from those asked of men....and how without the right strategies to handle the Q&A with funder/decision-makers, those differences are a problem for women.

With the new skills and tools shared and practiced in this session, women founders/intrapreneurs will get the funding, the people, and the time to create and capture the value of their ideas.

In addition to peer exchange and practice, we will also hear from Mona Parikh, Esq., serial entrepreneur and angel investor, on her experiences before she understood that she was being asked and answering how not to lose (prevention questions) instead of turning every question into an opportunity to give an answer about how she was going to win (promotion questions).

Session Two: A Better Way to Listen to Your Customers...and find custom/product/market faster

This session addresses how to ask for feedback, help others be comfortable giving you feedback, open meetings/conversations, share what you're working on, and more.

Session Three: A Better Way to Go To Market with your Disruptive Ideas...and find traction faster

This session focuses on techniques and tools for confidently creating and executing go-to-market plans that apply equally to the ideas, process- and technology- changes you’re bringing to workplace associates and your customers.

Session Four: A Better Way to FInd, Build and Retain your Team....and build a lasting culture that drives growth

This session addresses how and when to grow your team and find those who believe in you, are willing to deliver tough messages, remain authentic, get the right things done and stop doing the work that doesn't align with the team's goals for its stakeholders.

Session Five: A Better Way to Tell Your Story....and bring new funders, customers and stakeholders along the journey

This session challenges participants to know their own story and learn to read the 'room' to most effectively find their allies and inspire those allies to contribute the resources needed to bring the story/product to life.
