Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is a former NBA superstar and six-time league MVP, known for his unstoppable skyhook and status as the league’s all-time leading scorer. Off the court, he has been a prominent social activist, advocating for civil rights, social justice, and education reform throughout his life.
Joining Abdul-Jabbar in conversation will be Dr. Harry Edwards, renowned sociologist and civil rights activist best known for his work advocating for the rights of Black athletes. He is a longtime professor at the University of California, Berkeley, and a consultant to professional sports teams on issues of diversity and inclusion.
The evening's conversation and Q&A will be moderated by Abdul-Jabbar's business partner and manager of 31 years, Deborah Morales.
