    Wax & Wine is a fundraiser benefiting Stax Museum of American Soul Music, and celebrating the unmistakable character of southern soul & R&B music, food, and wine.


    The Vinyl:

    Don’t miss definitive vinyl sets from legendary Las Vegas DJ Paola Puente, AKA Double Peas, 2X James Beard Awarded Chef & vinyl aficionado Chef Sean Brock, Chad Weekley AKA JONE$, Music Curator for Central Station Hotel, and Jared Boyd- AKA DJ Bizzle Bluebland of WYXR. Some sets will feature rare soul records from the Stax Museum’s Bob Abrahamian Collection.


    The Chefs:

    The evening will feature South by Sean Brock, a brand of insanely delicious cornbread chips made with heirloom corn, plus wine accompaniments from Cordelia’s Market, and bites from some of Memphis’ hottest Chefs. Cole Jeanes of Kinfolk will be present as well as Harrison Downing, and Schuyker O’Brien of Secret Smash Society and the highly anticipated Hard Times Deli.


    The Wine:

    Each ticket grants access to over 15 wines from southern wine regions around globe, selected by Rootstock Wine Market, in partnership with by AOC- A Wine Company, Phoenix Selections, Still Point Imports, and more. Selected wines will include natural, low impact, and Black owned winemakers.


    The Cause:

    Stax Museum of American Soul Music is a program of The Soulsville Foundation, a 501c3 Nonprofit organization that perpetuates the souls of Stax Records by preserving the legacy, educating and inspiring future artists to achieve their dreams.
