About this event

Explore the world of watersheds and learn about their importance to our own health. Build a model of a watershed and observe what happens when pollutants are introduced to the watershed. Discover how to assess the health of the watersheds by using different water quality parameters to really know what is in our water!

In this investigation, students will:

  • Construct a model of a watershed and learn what happens when pollutants are introduced.
  • Test the quality of water by using biological methods and assess the overall health.
  • Test the quality of water by using chemical methods and assess the overall health.
