Join us at the Community Ecology Institute and become a Waste Warrior! We will be hosting an educational course for students to learn about our Non-Profit, Upcycled, our mission, and why/how we do what we do!

Lesson 1- Intro to Plastic

  • Learn about healthy environments, plastic production, the plastic crisis, and our Upcyling Process!
  • Activities: Trail Cleanup and/or build a Terrarium and listen to a story about how Upcycled was started!

Lesson 2- Upcycling Crafts

  • Learn how to do your own "Upcycling" and about the products we make!
  • Activities: Creating a mosaic and bracelets with “upcycled” beads and recycled bottles!

Lesson 3- Build a Structure

  • Learn how to use tools and build a structure from entirely recycled plastic!
  • Activities: Build a bench from “upcycled” lumber!


FAQ's

Will we be using any recycling machines?

  • No we will not use any of the recycling machines but will have them present for visuals

Do I need to bring anything with me?

  • All materials will be supplied, but we ask participants to bring bottle caps to support our cause
