The Summit will gather stakeholders from across Washington State for a hybrid, one-day conference on immunizations across the lifespan.

WithinReach, with support from the Washington State Department of Health, is excited to host the 2023 Washington State Immunization Summit! This day-long summit will be held at the <a href="https://tacomaconventioncenter.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Greater Tacoma Convention Center</a>. <h1>Summit Overview </h1>The <a href="https://immunitycommunitywa.org/washington-state-immunization-summit-2023/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">2023 Immunization Summit</a> will: <ul><li>Provide tools, skills and knowledge to be successful in equitably improving vaccination rates </li><li>Celebrate and highlight the work of the immunization community </li><li>Share lessons learned and experiences through the COVID-19 pandemic </li><li>Provide an opportunity to learn about emerging and ongoing immunization best practices to apply to diverse communities </li></ul>Topics will include lessons learned from COVID-19 vaccination campaigns, community-based initiatives, “HPV at 9” in Washington State, practical strategies to addressing vaccine hesitancy, and the current state of immunizations in Washington. This year's event will be held on Thursday, May 25th and presented in a hybrid format. Attendees may choose between attending in-person in Tacoma or watching a live-stream remotely. In-person registration includes complimentary meals and access to a networking event directly following the Summit. In-person schedule: 7:30AM - 4:30PM (7:30AM check-in &amp; breakfast / 8:30AM welcome) Virtual schedule: 8:30AM – 4:30PM <h2>Target Audience</h2>Health care professionals, public health jurisdictions, health care systems, Community Health Workers, and trusted messengers. PLEASE NOTE: Day-of registration will NOT be available for either virtual or in-person attendees. You must register in advance to attend.

<h1>Code of Conduct </h1>Summit attendees agree to support the goals of the conference and strengthen immunization efforts in Washington State that are in accordance with evidence-based guidance from the <a href="https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/acip/recommendations.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices</a> (ACIP). Attendees asked to stop any behavior will be expected to comply immediately. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and those who violate these rules will result in forfeited registration and be expelled from the event at the sole discretion of WithinReach. <a href="https://immunitycommunitywa.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/iacw-code-of-conduct.pdf" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Click here</a> to read our Code of Conduct in full. We invite all those who participate in the WA Immunization Summit to help us create a safe, positive experience for everyone. The following behaviors are expected from all attendees and participants: <ul><li>Be courteous, respectful and considerate of fellow members and participants. </li><li>Encourage a collaborative environment that welcomes diversity. </li><li>Refrain from harassing, discriminatory or derogatory speech, conduct and materials. </li><li>Obtain approval from Summit organizers prior to distributing materials at the event. </li></ul>

<h2>Breastfeeding and Babies are Welcome </h2>Breastfeeding and babies in arms are warmly welcomed. A space for milk expression and breastfeeding, should you wish to use it, will be available. Please email IC@withinreachwa.org if you need any assistance.

<h1>Registration Details </h1><h2>In-Person Registration </h2>Early Bird registration ($150 per person) is available through April 30, 2023, or until it is sold out. Standard registration will increase to $200 per person from May 1 until May 14, 2023, or until it is sold out. Last Call registration will be available for $250 per person from May 15 until May 22, 2023. Please note we are NOT able to accommodate onsite registrations. Registration fees will cover all meals and continuing education credits. <h2>Virtual Registration </h2>Early Bird registration ($100 per person) is available through April 30, 2023, or until it is sold out. Standard registration will increase to $150 per person from May 1 until May 14, 2023, or until it is sold out. Last Call registration will be available for $200 per person from May 15 until May 22, 2023. Please note we are NOT able to accommodate registrations after this date. Registration fees will cover continuing education credits. <h2>Scholarship Information </h2>The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) has funding to offer scholarships to those who would not be able to attend the Immunization Summit otherwise. These scholarships would pay for conference registration and/or hotel stay and possibly travel for Washington residents only. Applications will be accepted until April 24, 2023. A DOH workgroup will review the applications and determine how scholarships will be awarded. Questions about the scholarship application? Please contact OICP@doh.wa.gov. If you submitted an application, you will be notified by the DOH workgroup by Friday April 28, 2023.<h2>Refund Policy </h2>Refunds will be issued at 75% of your registration fee up until May 5, 2023. Ticket transfers may be allowed up to May 22, 2023. DOH is an approved multiple event provider by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. (NCHEC). <h1>COVID-19 Protocol </h1>As this event will take place in Tacoma, we are following Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department guidance for COVID-19 safety: <h2>Vaccines</h2>COVID-19 vaccines are the most effective tools to limit the spread of COVID-19. Everyone 6 months or older should get an updated bivalent booster dose 2 months after primary vaccination or most recent booster. Bivalent boosters provide better protection against the more prevalent omicron variants. <h2>Testing </h2>You should get tested if you have symptoms or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19. You should also consider getting tested before travel or attending large gatherings. <h2>Masks </h2>While no longer required, face masks help prevent the spread of disease. Many in our community will choose to continue to wear masks to protect the health of themselves and those around them. We encourage everyone to respect the decisions of those around you, and to follow the best public health practices for you and your family. <h2>Social distancing </h2>Crowded areas mean a higher chance of exposure to COVID-19. You may choose to avoid crowded areas or keep distance between yourself and others. This is especially true if you're at higher risk of getting very sick from COVID-19.
