Washington State Immunization Summit 2017

WithinReach makes it easier for Washington families to navigate complex health and social service systems and connect with the resources they need to be healthy and safe. For more than 30 years, WithinReach has responded to the needs of people across the state with groundbreaking online resources, dedicated hotlines, direct in-person outreach and lasting-impact advocacy work. We seek to build healthy, vibrant communities where all families have the opportunity to thrive.In support of that mission, over the last 25 years we have worked to promote immunization as an important way to keep kids and families healthy. In 1994, we founded the Immunization Action Coalition of Washington (IACW). IACW works to improve the health of the community by minimizing the incidence of vaccine-preventable diseases through the optimal use of immunizations across the lifespan.

WithinReach

WithinReach is excited to host the first annual Washington State Immunization Summit! This day-long summit will be held at <A HREF="https://www.portseattle.org/business/conference-facilities/the-conference-center-at-sea-tac/Pages/default.aspx" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Conference Center at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport</A>. The Summit is sold out at this time, but we recommend that you add your name to the waitlist if you are interested in attending. We will notify people on the waitlist if a spot becomes available at the $150 regular registration rate.
 
Summit Overview:
The goal of the Washington State Immunization Summit is to enhance the effectiveness of health care professionals and systems to promote and deliver immunization in Washington State.
 
Topics will include vaccine hesitancy, the use of data and systems to improve rates (including the Washington State Immunization Information system and interfacing with the new School Module), and reaching underserved populations.
 
The Summit will be held on April 26, 2017 from 8:00am-4:00pm and will include a complimentary lunch.
 
Target Audience:  nurses, medical assistants, pharmacists, physicians, health educators, public health staff, and other health professionals who work with immunizations.

Registration for the Summit is SOLD OUT at this time. If you are interested in attending the Summit please add your name to the waitlist and you will be contacted if a spot becomes available at the regular registration rate of $150. There will be NO on-site registration. Registration fees will cover lunch. 
  
Scholarship Information:
We are unable to offer scholarship funds for the Washington Immunization Summit at this time. 
  
Refund Policy:
Refunds will be issued at 75% of your registration fee up until Wednesday, March 29, 2017. After that time, no refunds will be allowed. Substitutions may be allowed. Please contact <A HREF="mailto:mackenziem@withinreachwa.org" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Mackenzie Melton</A> to request a refund or substitution.

CNE:  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is accredited as a provider of Continuing Nursing Education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
 
This activity provides 5.5 contact hours.

Breastfeeding and Babies are Welcome
Breastfeeding and babies in arms are warmly welcomed. A space for milk expression and breastfeeding, should you wish to use it, will be available. Please contact <A HREF="mailto:mackenziem@withinreachwa.org" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Mackenzie Melton</A> if you need any assistance. 
 
Venue, Directions & Parking:
The SeaTac Conference Center is located inside the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, pre-security and on the mezzanine level at the south end of the airport. Boarding passes are not required to access the facility. Behind the international counters you will find a set of stairs that takes you up to the Mezzanine Level. Enter the reception area through the double glass doors on the left for the Port of Seattle Aviation Division offices. The receptionist will direct you to your conference room.

There will be complimentary parking validations to all Summit attendees. Please park in General Parking (floors 2, 3, 5-8) in the airport garage. Parking validations are ONLY valid in General Parking, and your parking will not be validated if you choose to park in Terminal Direct (floor 4).
 
Link Light Rail
If traveling via Link Light Rail, you will get off at the airport and walk through the 4th floor of the parking garage and across a skybridge up the escalator or elevators to the ticketing level. Continue walking south, keeping the ticket counters on your right, until you get to the international ticket counters (Hawaiian, Lufthansa, British Airways, etc).
 
 Accommodations:
We have not made any arrangements for a hotel room block for the Summit since it is a one-day event. However, here are some suggestions for nearby accommodations if you are interested in staying overnight.
