About this event
Life is complicated and complex. Each person is host to a milieu of stories that offer vistas towards this complexity. We share them with each other all the time. By doing so, formally and informally, we nurture a shared endowment of awareness of the multifaceted world we live in. Long arcs of history converge into uncanny encounters.
Chance interactions become the prelude of new possibilities. Relations simultaneously compress and expand into multiple versions of communal intimacy. Together, per Franz Fanon, we head towards other worlds, and are recreated by each step taken.
“Alertness is the hidden discipline of familiarity” - David Whyte
Warm data has to do with how multiple stories come together, into a density of experience that manifests in a myriad of tones, textures, scenes etc, that surround our everyday life. To look closely at what’s going on around us as a chance to see the wider arcs of story that we are a part of, offering a means for us to explore how we would like to be a part of how these stories continue, grow, end, or transition.
“Of what good is a book, if it has no pictures, or conversations?” - Alice, in Wonderland
People need People online sessions are a way to enter into this shared inquiry through story and conversation.
They are a mutual learning that nurtures our capacity to perceive the warm data permeating through our ecologies.
We warmly invite you to a series of six sessions that the warm data community will host between June and August 2024.
