Ward Canyon Spring Cleanup
What: Join Tread Lightly! and the Salt Lake Ranger District for our annual spring cleanup of Ward Canyon Road! This popular recreation area, just a short drive from the Salt Lake metro area, sees heavy use—especially for dispersed recreational shooting. We’ll spend the day picking up shooting debris and helping to protect this well-used canyon. This project also marks the seasonal gate opening above Buckland Springs, making it a perfect opportunity to give back and kick off the season. Come lend a hand, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and help us protect access to our public lands for everyone to enjoy!

What to bring:
- Sunglasses/safety glasses
- Sunscreen
- Work Gloves
- Long pants, closed toed shoes
- Seasonally appropriate clothing
- Water and food for yourself
- A trail capable vehicle.
