About this event

Join Wonder Thursdays at 11:00 AM on an all abilities hike on the Simpson Reed accessible 1/2 mile trail in the Jedediah Smith State Park to experience nature. We will wander and wonder together about what we are sensing, knowing and feeling as we enliven all of our senses. The adventure will take an hour and a half to two hours. We will explore the redwoods layer by layer and engage in a short guided meditation to connect to the trees and nature all around us. We will also have an opportunity to listen to the music of the plants with a device that transfers the electromagnetic energy of the plants to soundwaves, so we can hear the energy of the Redwoods as we engage together. All experience levels and abilities welcome. Accessible transportation is available but limited to first come first serve. Please email transportation@redwoodparks.org to request transportation or meet us at the Simpson Reed Trail head on Walker Rd off of hwy 199.

Redwood Parks Conservancy along with our park partners host multiple events each year. Events are focused to our mission statement "foster understanding, enjoyment and stewardship" of the public lands we serve. Tickets are sold for special events to help cover the event costs & setup with the goal of the proceeds going back to the Redwood National & State Parks to fund essential projects. We also host free events to bring the enjoyment of the parks to the public. These events are free but we will also except donations and support the parks through the proceeds.

Redwood Parks Conservancy along with Redwood National & State Parks enjoys having these events and sharing the relationship we all have through the parks and public lands.

We Thank You for your Support!
