Wake up & Flow / Vinyasa

This class has been a favorite of mine over the years and I cannot wait to keep it going. This class is a vinyasa inspired class with dance-y, sequencing, anatomy knowledge, generous stretches, and feelings of groundedness, joy and serenity.

Park Yoga is a beautiful opportunity to connect with yourself, nature and your community. I am looking forward to flowing with you in the park. Bring your mat and anything else you may need for a comfortable experience. We will be doing an open level vinyasa inspired flow under the trees and in our community. Come shake off the day and leave feeling grounded, strong and supported. Students must sign up in advance, there are no walk ups for these classes.

Read below for important information about preparing for class. 

FIRST AND FORMOST: add your phone number to your account. This allows your teacher to help you if you get lost or if there are changes to our location because of rain or other events. 

When packing for class bring a mat, water and any props you would like to practice with. In cooler weather bring socks, coats and/or blankets to keep warm. As it gets warmer please consider sunscreen, bug spray and sunglasses to make your practice more comfortable.

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to class to allow time to find the group, set-up (clear away acorns) and sign-in.  

Locations: 

Park Yoga classes that are held at Mount Prospect Park will be held at the top of the stairs closest to the library as you enter the park.

Park Yoga classes that are held in Concert Grove will meet at the Concert Grove Pavilion and then walk to the water and set up near the Abraham Lincoln statue among the trees.

Park Yoga classes that are held at McCarren Park are held inside the park at the intersection of N 12th and Bedford Ave.

If it is raining, Mount Prospect Park & McCarren Park classes will be moved online via zoom. Our Concert Grove classes will happen in the Pavilion. 

Late Arrival: 

The teacher will wait up to 10 minutes after class begins for students to arrive. If no one shows in that window, class is canceled. If the class happens but a student doesn’t arrive their reservation is cancelled without refund.
