Join us on Saturday, July 13th at ʻAina Haina Public Library for a free interactive workshop! We'll be engaging in discussion and exercises to learn how to feel empowered.
This workshop is presented by Victory Lonnquist. She has been a medic, firefighter, and chaplain for the Fire Department on and off for nearly 20 years. She has real life experience with people in all sorts of trauma, addition, and general duress. As a medic being the first person in, she had to learn how to de-escalate, being a calming presence, listen, and inspire trust. Victory was ordained as a Buddhist nun, has participated in Lakota ceremonies for over 20 years, has lived in a Hindu ashram in Bali, and has done mission work around the world.
Sponsored by Samaritan Counseling Center Hawai'i.
Samaritan Counseling Center Hawai'i is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to provide professional and accessible mental health counseling sensitive to the spiritual traditions of individuals, families, and communities in Hawai'i, regardless of their ability to pay.
