The Academy has been designed to provide training on a variety of procurement topics to assist you with successfully doing business with the City. Topics are relevant to vendors who provide goods, services, professional services, and construction-related services.

Learn how to navigate the requirements of doing business with the City of Austin while keeping informed of new opportunities.

Classes:

Requirements for Living, Prevailing, and Wage Theft Programs - 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

The purpose of this training is to provide requirements for Living and Prevailing Wage as outlined in Section 00830 of all construction contracts, in addition to the Wage Theft Program.

Construction Contracting Methods: Competitive Sealed Proposal, Job Order Contracting, Construction Manager at Risk, and Design-Build - 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

The purpose of this training is to provide construction contractors with the information and resources needed to successfully compete for, and perform on, City of Austin construction contracts procured with alternative delivery methods.
