VU PHL & Small Things Philly Event!

The concept is simple - we volunteer with a different nonprofit organization in Philadelphia on the second Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., then spend the afternoon at a local bar for food, drinks, networking and fun with fellow, like-minded individuals.This program was created to give young professionals the opportunity for inspiring and rewarding experiences that will help forge a passion for future volunteering – both with our organization and on their own. Volunteering Untapped was born out of the realization that young professionals in Baltimore, Chicago, and Philadelphia want to give back to their community, but simply don’t know the best way to get involved. We solve that problem.Our mantra? Volunteering…made easy.

This month we are partnering with Small Things Philly to help prep and serve food!

Just an FYI VU Crew we have a second location with SACCPhilly in a separate sign up!For this event - you have to also register through: https://app.vomo.org/opportunity/emmanuel-ministry Are you ready to make a difference in our community? Small Things Philly cooks and serve a free, hot lunch every Saturday morning to approximately 60-100 guests. Volunteers help prepare food in the kitchen under the lead chef, plate and serve the meal, and clean up. No previous cooking experience necessary!They also have one of our Small Things Markets on site that serves as a small food pantry, which operates at the same time as the meal. neighbors every other Saturday morning (9 AM – 12 PM) with a generous box of fresh produce and other healthy food selections.
