June 13th: Handpan Duo!

The VR experience will be accompanied by live soundscapes created by the Handpan Duo, Jared Bistrong & Sofi Dias. This powerful visual & sonic journey will invigorate the senses and leave participants feeling blissfully present.

Jared Bistrong is the founder and director of both the Miami Sound Institute & The South Beach Sound Healing Orchestra. He has been designing, facilitating and teaching Sound Healing for over 25 years. His workshops and sound healing events have been featured all over the world. Sound healing and his teaching career have been integrated since the beginning, and his cultivation of ancient instruments as healing tools have always impacted his professional, social and spiritual life. He is a certified group sound healer in the NSEV Healing system.

Sofia Dias is a multi-instrumentalist living and working in South Florida. Graduated from Miami Dade college in Music Education, Sofia focuses on world percussion and has been involved in various music projects in her community ever since with performance, education and therapy. Since 2018 she has held an in-depth practice of the Handpan and studying it in the context of Music Therapy. Sofia has also been a part of Miami’s very own samba percussion community MiamiBloco since 2019, paying respect to her Brazilian heritage.

Wellness Experience Artist, VR Spatial Painter and Meditation Guide

This innerdimensional VR Art Wellness Modality is conceptualized and produced by Alissa Christine with a focus on positive change by inspiring inner growth, spirituality and sustainability with love.

Alissa started creating art in virtual reality that illuminates the soul since 2018. Recently, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts commissioned her to create a VR Meditation App, and perform interactive meditation activations, which launched at their inaugural Art+Mind Day Festival in July of 2023. Hundreds of participants can now experience an inner journey within her immersive VR art.

Alissa Christine, a pioneer in virtual reality art, and author of “i love miami 365,” photo documentary, merges wellness with new media. Alissa (aka LUVRworldwide) creates immersive meditative story-telling experiences inside her illuminated 3D VR paintings, complimenting her Healing Arts practices for over 15 years. With a two-decade art career, her work has graced global galleries, including local exhibitions during Art Basel Miami, curating and producing VR/AR Cryptoart Metaverses, and she’s contributed to magazines like Ocean Drive’s Art Basel Mag. Alissa’s avant-garde achievements include VR app development, winning live global VR painting competitions, VR 360 music videos, guided VR meditations for wellness festivals, and performances at SXSW. An arts and wellness educator since 1998, she delivers engaging talks and coursework. Alissa Christine, a Brazilian-American Honors graduate, is based in Miami Beach, meditates in the ocean and loves to travel.
