The<A HREF="http://vrhackathon.web3d.org" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> VR Hackathon</A> is a community driven event focused on bringing together the brightest minds interested in virtual reality and related technologies to develop innovative hardware and software solutions, have fun, and build out the future of immersive technology. Now a global community, VR hackathons are organized the <A HREF="http://web3d.org" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Web3D Consortium</A>.  This is a free event. VR hackathon, Brisbane is co-organized by <A HREF="http://data61.csiro.au" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">CSIRO Data61</A> and <A HREF="http://brisbane.siggraph.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Brisbane ACM SIGGRAPH</A> Chapter, and also co-located with the <A HREF="http://web3d2017.web3d.org" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Web3D 2017 Conference</A>. 
This year to promote the use of immersive technologies in real world, VR Hackathon encourages industry specific challenges: Future Factories, Smarter Mining,  Disaster Resilience, Safe UAVs, Wearable Sensors, Talking Roads, Smart Farms and more.
Schedule: 5:00 PM Friday 2 June 2017 - 2:00 PM Sunday 4 June 2017
Hacking: Friday 8:00 PM - Sunday 12 Noon (no overnight stay)
Reception: Friday 2 June 5:00 PM -  9:00 PM
Awards Presentation: Sunday 4 June 12 Noon -  2:00 PM
