Voyager Ensemble

The Embassy of Finland in Washington DC is located in a beautiful building that blends into its lush natural surroundings, embodying Finnish architecture. The building is designed to feel like a miniature Finland – green, modern and transparent. We take great pride in being the first Platinum LEED certified embassy in the United States. In addition to housing the diplomatic mission of Finland to the U.S., the embassy plays host to a number of public and private events.

Embassy of Finland presents:In the spirit of armchair travelers everywhere, the Voyager Ensemble explores a new country of the world each year by combining standard repertoire along with a contemporary work by a composer from the region. This year’s concert focuses on FINLAND with directors Yoshioka and Yang joined by eminent Finnish musicians Kurt Nikkanen and Martti Rousi for the music of Rautavaara, Kaila, and Sibelius.
