About this event

  • 3 hours 30 minutes

Days for Girls Poulsbo is the local chapter of Days for Girls International. Our volunteers handcraft sustainable menstrual "Kits" for girls, women, and menstruators both locally and globally.

We do this because we believe in a world where periods are never a problem. Did you know that girls all over the world miss school every single month, because they have no way to manage their periods? We're committed to shattering the stigma; as of 2023, DFG has reached over 3 million girls all over the world!

Our Chapter has committed to sending 300 Kits to Liberia, 100 Kits to Bolivia, various Kit components to our International distribution center for global needs, and to providing North Kitsap Fishline Foodbank with a steady supply of Kits adapted for local needs.

Every one of these Kits will help girls, women, and menstruators in need. In a very real, very tangible way, every thing our volunteers do helps someone either right here in Kitsap, or across the globe.

Want to learn more? No sewing/crafting experience needed, we have volunteer work for all ages and abilities. Feel free to DM us on Facebook (Days for Girls Poulsbo WA) with questions, or go to https://www.daysforgirls.org/ to learn more about our mission.
