VMG's Volunteer Program Management course is a MUST for you.
A guide for the optimal use of volunteers is critical. Join VMG instructor, Jean Pierre-Louis, Founder and Executive Director of CapriCare Haiti, and you will learn how to develop a successful volunteer management plan working with all stakeholders.
Students learn how to focus on the volunteer management lifecycle, including the process for planning, recruiting, training, scheduling, supervising, developing and soliciting feedback from volunteers. Jean just returned from a trip to Haiti and will share the exciting developments on the volunteer program he developed and runs in Haiti.
You can register for this course as a stand-alone course, or register for the Volunteer Management Certificate Program.
This course is ONE course of an 8-course Volunteer Management Certificate Program offered by VMG. If you are interested in completing the full certificate program, please visit the Volunteer Management Group website for further registration details.
All Spring 2020 courses are Tuesdays from 6:30 - 9:15 pm at University Settlement, 273 Bowery.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Classroom location: University Settlement at the Houston Street Center 273 Bowery New York, NY 10002 Subway F/V to 2nd Avenue J/M/Z to Bowery B/D/F/V to Broadway-Lafayette N/R/W to Prince 6 to Bleecker Bus M15, M21, M103
There are parking garages nearby.
What can I bring into the event?
Feel free to bring a laptop or tablet. There is free wifi in the building. You are welcome to bring food and drinks. There is a Whole Foods next door to University Settlement. Please consume food prior to class starting. Feel free to enjoy your beverages during class. Students should download the course materials and bring them to class. Copies will not be given out in class. You will receive an email with the instructions for downloading the materials. Students are welcome to bring any work in progress to discuss during class.

What's the refund policy?
Due to space arrangements and instructor schedules, refunds are not permitted. If students must miss a class, a video link will be provided to a pre-recorded class.
 
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No.
 
Can I update my registration information?

Is my registration fee or ticket transferable?
Yes, please call VMG to make a transfer request.
 
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
No, you must call VMG at 917-829-8344 to make an update to your registration if you are transferring it to another individual.

Volunteer Management Group has ONE SEAT available in our Volunteer Program Management classroom course for a talented college student interested to attend the course for a reduced registration fee in exchange for putting together a VMG event or volunteer project for other students and those affiliated with VMG to participate in. Student should also be interested to post/create content about the course and your participation in the course and the planning and leading of the event/project.
Posting will be on VMG's social media including  Facebook,Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and MeetUp. Group coordination and organization of the event/project can be done using MeetUp. Great opportunity to learn while building your volunteer leadership skills.
