About this event

  • 5 hours 30 minutes

Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition (SVBC) provides Valet Bike Parking at each Levi's event. Valet Bike Parking is one of many ways that SVBC encourages people to bike to public events.

Volunteers at the Valet Bike Parking for Levi's events are key members of the SVBC team. It is only with your help that Valet Bike Parking is possible.

So thank you in advance!

Site Access Information - please meet near the San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail. See the site access volunteer guide for detailed information.

Shifts

There will be two volunteer shifts for the event:

Shift 1 - Hours: 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM

Shift 2 - Hours: 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM

What to Expect:

For concerts, Levi's Stadium provides one fenced-off, open-air bike corrals in their parking lot, where SVBC volunteers supervise bikes during events. This volunteering involves:

  • Greeting and explaining intake process to customers
  • Setting up and breaking down canopies and bike racks
  • Intake and registration of bicycles using QR codes
  • Wheeling bikes to/from bike racks
  • Lifting bicycles onto/off of bike racks
  • Monitoring bikes during event
  • Light data entry using QR codes
  • Providing a great customer service experience with a welcoming demeanor

This leaves ample time for you to talk to members of the community and learn about the vast variety of bicycles people ride around town! A meal will be provided for volunteers.

You may reserve volunteer spots by registering one ticket per volunteer. If you would like to bring 3 volunteers from your group, you need to register their name (or yours as a place holder) for each ticket. Please enter all information as accurately as possible. If you do not end up needing all of the tickets you originally registered for, please cancel your reservation(s) and notify the Bike Parking Manager at eleni@bikesiliconvalley.org. If you sign up for a shift, please let us know if things change as early as possible. It is critical we have all spots reliably filled well before each event. Please add this event to your calendar so you do not forget!

Qualifications

Volunteers must be able to greet customers verbally or non-verbally. Some volunteers need to be able to take tickets from, or hand tickets to, customers, and read numbers off the tickets. Some volunteers need to be able to walk with bicycles and lift bicycles off the ground. Volunteers aged 13 to 18, who are not accompanied by a parent or legal guardian are required to digitally sign and send in advance our Minor Consent Form to eleni@bikesiliconvalley.org. If this is a hardship, it is an option to bring a signed hard copy of the form to the shift supervisor the day of the event. Volunteers under the age of 13 must also be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to volunteer.

Parents/Guardians, if your child is coming with you to volunteer, the expectation is that they can be independent and support the bike parking program without your need to supervise them the entire time. You will be working together but must be able to leave them unattended at times. If you are unsure if this is an age appropriate volunteer activity for your child, please contact the Bike Parking Manager.

Donations

If you would like to make a donation to SVBC (which is much appreciated!) please go to our Donation Page.

Site Access

Once registered, volunteers will be emailed closer to the event date with their supervisor's name and phone number, so please stay tuned and make sure your contact information is accurately entered! If you have questions, please email our Bike Parking Manager, Eleni Jacobson, at eleni@bikesiliconvalley.org.

Click here for site access information. We encourage you to bike or take VTA to the stadium, as vehicle access is slow, confusing, and difficult. Please contact eleni@bikesiliconvalley.org for trip planning help to arrive to Levi's Stadium without using a car.
