Volunteer Call - Tuesday Evenings

THIS EVENT: Regular Zoom Call with Volunteers & Followers. All are welcome (except trolls).

These twice-weekly Zoom calls are a space for volunteers to work together to grow & expand this Shift the Country work. Join any call to get involved. No need to catch every call.

Bring people you know who are fired up about what's happening in the US. Share this around to people + groups. The more involved... the faster this spreads.

What we're doing will change on each call as we make progress. We'll catch everyone up in the first few minutes on each call.

Calls are planned twice weekly Tuesday evenings & Friday afternoons. Zoom dial-in info is the same for every Tuesday call & every Friday call but different for Tuesdays & Fridays.

THIS ISN'T NORMAL POLITICAL VOLUNTEERING...

• Bring your brain, your interest, your sense of cooperation, your patience, your ideas, your skills, your experience, & your flexibility.
• No need for special skills or prior commitments. Everyone is needed. Everyone can contribute.
• We're getting creative, we're innovating, & we're charting new territory.
• This volunteer experience may be unusual, a little fly-by-the-seat-of-our-pants, rapidly-evolving, & unpredictable.
• We intend to drive action, civic engagement, & public pressure that gets people talking, voting, & making change... to move us toward a healthier country & away from far-right extremism.
• Shift the Country has the audacious, achievable idea that we can collectively change our country’s trajectory, like with a whole movement.
• We need a big pivot – for the 2024 election, & so we can better handle our formidable future after the 2024 election.
• We can bring powerful, amazing, persuasive, inspiring activity all across this country to towns, cities, media, & our social networks both in-real-life & online.

• Our Zoom calls are FREE to join.
• Support this work with a donation through an Eventbrite registration ticket. You can also donate through the website, or through ActBlue. Donations to this nonprofit are not tax deductible.
• This "about events" page on our website has more about how our events work.
• Our Zoom calls are places for connection, community, & coalition-building. We're brainstorming, figuring out how to make ideas work, & then making them work. We'll spin off volunteer working groups as we get traction in an area; team calls for that work will also be posted on Eventbrite.
• This event may be recorded but not livestreamed. Video clips may be posted publicly later for recorded events. Recording is often not done during volunteer working group activities to facilitate different kinds of conversation than a public broadcast might. We ask that participants not record events without prior permission.
• We can be and do so much. Let's light the way.
