Volunteer at GFNY York Pennsylvania 2024

For supporters who want to be an even greater part of GFNY race weekend, becoming a GFNY Volunteer is the perfect way to get involved. Join us!

Volunteers play a key role in creating an unforgettable experience for athletes, spectators, journalists and special guests from all over the world. The event draws on the help of over 200 volunteers over four days. Volunteers who offer their time, energy, support and enthusiasm are a vital part of GFNY.

GFNY Pennsylvania: On June 16, 2024, the endurance cycling race will take place in York.

We will be setting up on June 13-14-15. The GFNY expo takes place at the Mural Square Park. The race starts & finishes also at Mural Square Park

GFNY Athletes: GFNY athletes are dedicated athletes who train hard to be able to complete a challenging event like the GFNY Cycling Marathon. Help us welcome them to GFNY and get them all set to race.

Everyone Can Help: You can volunteer in a broad range of roles, such as registration, setup, aid stations, clean up, motorcycle marshal and more. While there are many ways you can help, they all have one thing in common: you are part of the event. No matter if you’re young, old, love cycling or know nothing about it, if you’d like to help at the expo, an aid station or the finish line – we are looking forward to seeing you! Get involved in GFNY Pennsylvania to support the athletes in their quest to the finish line.

Dates and Locations:

THU 6/13 @ 10am-4pm Packing goodie bags and setting up the registration at the Expo.

FRI 6/14 @ 12pm-6pm GFNY athlete registration and expo take place at the Expo

SAT 6/15 @ 12pm-6pm GFNY athlete registration and expo take place at the Expo

SUN 6/16 - The cycling race takes place, with the start/finish at the Expo.

@ 5am-11am // 8am-2pm Helping at the start, finish and post-race festival.

@ 6am-1pm Helping at the two aid stations

Volunteer Info: GFNY volunteers will receive arrival time & location and basic instructions before the start of their shift via email. You don't need to worry about memorizing anything, we will provide role assignments and role instructions once you arrive for your shift. For aid station & on-course volunteers, we have prepared an aid station volunteer video.

Charities, Organizations, Schools: Please reach out to us about your club, school or organization being involved as part of GFNY Pennsylvania.

Volunteer Registration Process: Volunteer registration is based on your day of availability and the location and hours you're available. You can register your whole group (change the number in Ticket Quantity section).
