Volunteer at GFNY Florida Sebring 2023

For supporters who want to be an even greater part of GFNY race weekend, becoming a GFNY Volunteer is the perfect way to get involved. Join us!

Volunteers play a key role in creating an unforgettable experience for athletes, spectators, journalists and special guests from all over the world. The event draws on the help of over 200 volunteers over four days, Oct. 18-22, 2023. Volunteers who offer their time, energy, support and enthusiasm are a vital part of GFNY.

GFNY Florida : On Oct 21-22, 2023, two endurance races take place in Florida's home of endurance racing: On Oct 21, runners will take on a marathon and half marathon race from the Barn at Paso Fino. On Oct 22, one thousand cyclists from across the USA and 50+ countries will ride on a challenging 95-mile cycling marathon in Highlands and Hardee Counties.

On Oct 20-21 , 2022 the GFNY expo takes place at the scenic Barn at Paso Fino: (3501 Paso Fino Dr, Lake Placid, FL 33852).

GFNY Athletes:  GFNY athletes are dedicated athletes who train hard to be able to complete the challenging events: GFNY Marathon and Half Marathon and the GFNY Cycling Marathon. Help us welcome them to GFNY and get them set to race.

Everyone Can Help: You can volunteer in a broad range of roles, such as registration, setup, aid stations, clean up, motorcycle marshal and more. While there are many ways you can help, they all have one thing in common: you are part of the event. No matter if you’re young, old, love cycling or know nothing about it, if you’d like to help at the expo, an aid station or the finish line – we are looking forward to seeing you! Get involved in GFNY Florida to support the athletes in their quest to the GFNY Florida finish line.

Volunteer T-shirt: Every volunteer receives the official GFNY Volunteer T-shirt. The T-shirt identifies a person as an Official GFNY Volunteer. The T-shirt must be worn as the outer-most layer of your clothing - please pick the right T-shirt size!

Dates and Locations:

WED 10/18 @ 10am-4pm Packing goodie bags and setting up the registration at the Barn at Paso Fino.

THU 10/19 @ 10am-4pm Packing goodie bags and setting up the registration at the Barn at Paso Fino.

FRI 10/20 @ 12pm-6pm GFNY athlete registration and expo take place at the Barn at Paso Fino

SAT 10/21 - The running marathon & half marathon race takes place in the morning, and the cycling race packet pickup in the afternoon.

@ 6am-1pm Helping at the aid stations of the run race.

@ 12pm-6pm The cycling race registration and expo take place at the Barn at Paso Fino.

SUN 10/22 - The cycling race takes place, with the start/finish at the Barn at Paso Fino, and the race course in Hardee County.

@ 5am-11am // 8am-2pm Helping at the start/finish at the Barn at Paso Fino.

@ 7am-2pm Helping at the two aid stations in Hardee: at Steve Roberts Special and at Crewsville Rd.

@ 8am-3pm Helping guide athletes at the course split on Crewsville Rd before Rt 66.

Volunteer Info: GFNY volunteers will receive arrival time & location and basic instructions before the start of their shift via email. You don't need to worry about memorizing anything, we will provide role assignments and role instructions once you arrive for your shift. For aid station & on-course volunteers, we have prepared an aid station volunteer video. 

Charities, Organizations, Schools: Please reach out to us about your club, school or organization being involved as part of GFNY Florida.

Volunteer Registration Process: Volunteer registration is based on your day of availability and the location and hours you're available. You can register your whole group (change the number in Ticket Quantity section).
