Learn with the Visit Lauderdale Food &amp; Wine Festival throughout the entire festival week. Perfect for home cooks or a unique date night for couples, all of our classes and seminars provide a fun and relaxed setting for all to learn from the pros. Each class starts on time, so we recommend everyone arrive 15 minutes early as to not miss a thing or the welcome cocktail/glass of wine.Classes are suitable for all skill levels. Each of these classes are for Adults aged 21+ with the exception of Ice Cream &amp; Ohana and Cake Decorating, which is for everyone aged 12+.Classes offered include:

Pairing Pizza &amp; Beer with Chef Tom Magaddino - Tuesday, January 20 at 6:30pm at Gulf Stream Brewery$ 65/personPizza &amp; Beer, a classic combo, but elevated! This is not the cheap pizza and beer you struggled to scrounge enough money for in college. During this Pairing seminar you’ll taste 5 artisan pizza slices by Pizzeria Magaddino, perfectly paired with delicious brews from Gulf Stream Brewery while learning how to pair the combo on your own.

The Art of Pasta with Chef Jorge Montes - Tuesday, January 20 at 6:30pm at Sistrunk Marketplace$85/personJoin Chef Jorge Montes for an upscale twist on Pasta Night, where classic Italian tradition meets refined ingredients. You’ll start the class with a Pistachio Espresso Martini and Wild Mushroom Arancini with Truffle Aioli sure to set the tone for the evening. This hands-on cooking class will guide you through the art of fresh pasta making — from shaping orecchiette and filling ravioli, to mastering the perfect cacio e pepe. Last, but not least, we will plate everything up and enjoy the meal together.

Whisk(e)y: The Spirit of Life - Tuesday, January 20 at 6:30pm at Cocktail Uncultured$65/personDive into a tasting seminar to learn about the differences in the seemingly similar – yet incredibly varied – world of whisk(e)ys! You’ll learn about the nuances that make each type of this beloved brown spirit unique from the others, sampling four types before making two classic cocktails, the Whiskey Sour and the Boulevardier. The Sparkling Wine Experience with Sommelier Roberto Colombi - Tuesday Jan 20th at 6:30pm at Union Kitchen + Bar$65/personExperience a sparkling journey around the world with wines selected by Sommelier Roberto Colombi, each paired with hors d’oeuvres by Chef Christie Tenaud. Discover the evolution of sparkling wine, from the historical méthode ancestrale to the refined elegance of Champagne, the bold expression of Sparkling Shiraz, and the delicate artistry of Japanese Awa Sake. Ice Cream and Ohana with Chef Jimmy Anderson - Tuesday, January 20 at 6:00pm at Sweet Aloha Ice Cream$50/personJoin us at Sweet Aloha Ice Cream with Chef Jimmy Anderson for Ice Cream and Ohana. This all ages class will go through the basics of ice cream making, filled with the aloha spirit! You’ll learn basic ice cream science, best practices in developing an ice cream flavor and how to add mix-ins, variegates and nuts. Guests will then be able to choose to take their creation home as a pint or a quart to share! Minimum age to participate in this experience is 12 years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Flow &amp; Feast with Divine Wave Sound and 2 The Rootss - Wednesday, January 21 at 6:00pm at MAD Arts Museum$125/personJoin us at MAD Arts for ‘Flow &amp; Feast’ a journey through the realms with Michelle Rassner Cash (Yoga) and Rich Gausman (Sound Bath) of Divine Wave Sound. Next you’ll be treated to plant-based bites by Chef Gabriel and Chef Erica of 2 The Rootss, as well as a variety of wellness beverages and wines by Frey Vineyards, America’s first Organic and Biodynamic winery. Flavors of Peru with Chef Jorge Montes - Wednesday, January 21 at 6:30pm at Sistrunk Marketplace$85/personJoin Chef Jorge Montes on a culinary journey to Peru! You’ll start class with Peru’s national cocktail, the Pisco Sour. Peru’s cuisine is a celebration of its history where every dish tells a story. Allergen-Free Pairings with Sommelier Tal Cohen, Chef Toon and Chef Maya Izquierdo - Thursday, January 22 at 6:30pm$95/personGreat wines for all, is our motto! During this seminar, we'll explore the world of an allergen-free diet while indulging in world-class wines. The evening will feature 4 wines curated by Sommelier Tal Cohen of The Vintage on Harrison, 4 bites by Chef Toon of c4 Eats and Chef Maya Izquierdo of Zalie's.

Cake Decorating with Chef Lee Mazor - Thursday, January 22 at 6:00pm at Milk Money Bar &amp; Kitchen$85/personEver wondered how the pros decorate the beautiful cakes behind the displays at your favorite bakery? In this class you’ll decorate a coastal beach themed cake and learn different piping techniques with a variety of tips. Best of all, you’ll get to take your cake home and eat it too! Light bites will be provided by Milk Money Bar &amp; Kitchen. Minimum age to participate in this experience is 12 years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Cooking with Bourbon with Celebrity Chefs Nancy Fuller and Jason Smith - Thursday, January 22 at 6:30pm at Sistrunk Marketplace$85/personLord honey children, Uncle Jason and Gigi Nancy are coming together for an evening all about cooking with bourbon. You’ll start class with a Smoked Fig Old Fashioned! Libations Exotica: The Cult of Tiki with Cocktail Uncultured - Thursday, January 22 at 6:30pm at Cocktail Uncultured$65/personYou’ll learn the history of tiki culture while crafting tiki staples like the Mai Tai, Fog Cutter, and Zombie (oooooo). This fun class will feature James Beard Award nominated Chef &amp; Author Clarice Lam and Chef Diego Ng. During this class you’ll learn to craft a variety of Bao from Chef Lam’s award-winning cookbook, Breaking Bao.
