Welcome to VISUALISING DEMENTIA!
Visualising Dementia is a public outreach art exhibition and competition supported by Alzheimers Research UK that brings together science and creativity to explore dementia, the brain, and memory.
This unique event invites scientists and artists from across the South Coast to present artworks in any medium inspired by dementia and neuroscience. Through art and science, the exhibition aims to raise awareness, spark conversation, and offer new perspectives on living with and researching dementia.

ARTISTS WANTED
Artists and scientists are invited to submit original artworks in any medium inspired by dementia, memory, or neuroscience. A £100 award will be given for the best artwork, selected during the public exhibition.

This event will feature a public gallery exhibition and a short public talk highlighting current dementia research at the University of Southampton. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with researchers, artists, and members of the community in an informal and welcoming setting.
Visualising Dementia will take place at Building 85, Life Sciences, University of Southampton, on 6th July 2026. The event is free to attend, with limited tickets available via Eventbrite.
Whether you are curious about dementia research, personally affected, or simply interested in the intersection of art and science, this event offers an insightful and thought provoking experience.
