Event description

Description

Join a growing eco-system of practitioners who use the "art of scribing" to bridge the ecological, social, and spiritual divides we experience in our world today.

Scribing - a process of drawing while people talk - provides a mirror that can help a system see itself in new light. With intention to build navigational capacity for the rapidly changing times in which we we live, this program will focus on:

  • Activating intelligences of the Open Mind, Heart, and Will
  • Deepening practice of a visual sense-making discipline
  • Cultivating knowledge of social technologies

We will cover aspects of system and conversational diagnostics, deep listening, Presencing, generative scribing, discernment for ‘Letting Go and Letting Come’, 2D modeling, project planning, and shared applications of this work in a variety of contexts. The learning process will involve presentations, drawing practice, peer-to-peer reflecting, as well as large group conversations.

Who should participate?

Scribes, Theory U practitioners, and visual thinkers seeking to expand their capacity. Drawing will be the primary form of practice. You do not have to be a skilled scribe to come to this program! But do be prepared to use markers on dry erase surfaces and paper as the main method of expression during the program.
